American Viticultural Areas (AVA) define specific vineyard zones based on geography and climate. Our AVA posters stem from a love of wine and the areas where grapes are grown. We are a small design and print studio based in the heart of the Pacific Northwest’s wine country, the Walla Walla Valley. It has been our pleasure to experience, firsthand, the phenomenal growth of the wine making industry in the Walla Walla Valley and beyond.
We bring our intimate knowledge of each region to our poster designs and have tried to accentuate those elements that define them — often through the lens of where Americana-road-trip meets Bauhaus sensibility. We draw inspiration across our region’s diverse geography and terroir, when even the character of autumn light across a vineyard can bring about a sublime sense of place. Through our graphics, we strive to capture those bits of esoteric whimsy that distinguish one region from another. For instance, the Walla Walla Valley graphics include a representation of a small cut diamond, reflecting the shape of the AVA when viewed on a map The cinderblock motif in the Yakima AVA poster hints at the Valley's nickname, The Palm Springs of Washington.
Most of all, we sincerely hope to create lasting mementos for wine lovers and intrepid travelers alike, long after the last bottle has been shared with family and friends.
